Telehealth (sometimes called online therapy) utilizes HIPAA-secure video conferencing platforms to allow therapists and their clients to connect without having to meet in person. Telehealth therapy sessions have become instrumental in continuing to provide clients with much-needed counseling and care during the COVID-19 pandemic. This also allows clients to connect with therapists that could best fit their needs in a further location that they may have previously not been able to, all from the comfort of their own homes. Clients who are looking for Couples Therapy can also have sessions from separate locations from their partners, allowing even more flexibility and convenience.
Our therapists are able to see clients residing in the states of Delaware and Pennsylvania.
We embrace working with folks from any racial identity, ethnicity, religious background, sexual orientation, gender identity, and sexual preference.
Prior to the intake session with one of our therapists, clients will receive consent and intake forms that are to be completed electronically, along with a link to join the scheduled video chat session. There are a few requirements and tips to ensure clients receive the most out of sessions.
Individuals looking to take control of their emotions and lives. Maybe you’re feeling unfulfilled in your relationships or career. You might be struggling with people-pleasing, codependency, speaking up, or feeling lost in life. You want to understand yourself better and gain confidence. Some common issues addressed:
In a non-judgmental space we will explore who you are, how your past experiences have shaped you, and what is going on in your present life.
Together we will identify problematic behaviors, set goals, and pinpoint tools to help you develop healthy coping skills.
Through our work, you will begin to make the necessary and effective changes to become the person you’ve dreamed of being.
Together we will explore the intricacies of your relationship. We begin with a couples intake session where we learn about your relationship history, current concerns and set goals together. Following the first session, we will ask to see you both individually. These individual sessions will be used to learn about each of you as partners and individuals while also focusing on your family dynamics and upbringing.
In subsequent couples sessions we will look at behavior patterns, communication style, and we will support you as you make effective changes to grow closer to one another while maintaining your personal identity.
Couples therapy is most often sought out to work on a particular issue or to simply strengthen the connection between partners. Some common topics addressed are:
Sex therapy can be helpful for individuals or couples looking to explore their sexuality, relational patterns, difficulties with intimacy, gender roles and expectations, or simply find better ways to connect emotionally and sexually. Some common topics discussed are:
There are many misconceptions about sex therapy, but there is no nudity, physical exams, or touching between therapist and client(s).
We use a holistic approach to help each client reconnect with their body, communicate their needs, and allow themselves to experience pleasure. Discussing sex and sexuality can evoke feelings of shame or embarrassment for some.
In order to create a safe and shame-free space we work to establish stable communication prior to exploring these areas.
Set up a free phone consultation by using our convenient scheduling link. During the free phone consultation, our intake coordinator will ask a few questions to learn more about you and your needs in addition to answering any questions you may have. If you do not see a time that works for you, please email us at email@example.com and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
Currently, we are only accepting Highmark Blue Shield plans. Otherwise we are out of network and not accepting insurance. You are welcome to contact your insurance company directly to find out if you qualify for out-of-network reimbursement. You may then request an invoice or “superbill” to submit to them. Yes, we have found that evenings work better for many of our clients, and we are happy to accommodate. Some, but not all, of our therapists offer weekend sessions but will do my best to accommodate around your schedule.
Our therapists are licensed to see clients residing in Delaware and Pennsylvania. Sign up for our mailing list to be informed when we start accepting clients in other states.
We typically recommend you meet with your therapist once a week or bi-weekly for the first few sessions and reassess collaboratively. This is dependent on therapeutic need, affordability and schedule availability.
The first few sessions of individual, couples and sex therapy are for us to get to know one another. Our therapists will develop an understanding of who you are, what your concerns are, and what your life has looked like recently while you get familiar with your therapist, and their therapeutic approach. During this session we will take our time learning about all the different aspects of your life and upbringing.
No, we are a digital first therapy and wellness destination. We only provide telehealth therapy, also known as online therapy. These are the same type of therapists you would meet with in person, but by providing telehealth services, we can provide our services to clients all over Pennsylvania - no longer requiring you to drive into the city, find parking, and then drive back afterwords. Telehealth therapy provides you with flexibility and access to amazing therapists all over Pennsylvania.
Our therapists are real people and won’t silently nod and say hmm and that’s interesting the entire session. We are here to support, guide, and sit with you in any emotion that comes up. We use humor and empathy to build connections while being direct in challenging you to grow. We are open to feedback and your honesty about what works and doesn’t work for you personally.
