Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in Pennsylvania

Heal Your Roots Wellness is looking for a compassionate psychotherapist to join our remote team as an independent contractor. Heal Your Roots Wellness is a growing 100% remote group practice, and we want to add to our amazing team of professionals.  We are looking for Pennsylvania mental health professionals credentialed as Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) with counseling experience or specialize in at least two of the following areas:

ADHD
Anxiety Disorders
Codependency
Couples Therapy
Cross-Cultural Issues
Depression
LGBTQIA+ Community
Major Life Transitions
Sex Therapy
Sexuality and Gender
PTSD/ Trauma-informed care

We offer independently contracted providers (1099) the opportunity to build a practice while having the comradery and support of colleagues. As part of Heal Your Roots Wellness, you will also receive marketing support, all the tools and systems needed to get started, a client pipeline, and the support of a group practice.

Practitioners must be able to offer a minimum of 10 (and up to 30) clinical sessions per week and will receive a 50/50 split.  As independent contractors, our practitioners have the flexibility to choose their own schedule based on what’s right for them, and Heal Your Roots Wellness provides the caseload to fit the chosen availability.  Heal Your Roots Wellness prioritizes the wellbeing, job satisfaction, and growth of our therapists which is why we limit sessions to 30 per week to avoid burnout. Practitioners must be licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Pennsylvania, and all practitioners must carry their own individual liability insurance.

Core Duties:

Interact with and counsel clients to assist them in gaining insight and awareness, defining goals, and planning action to improve personal, social, educational, or vocational development and adjustment.
Identify psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues, using information obtained from interviews, tests, records, or reference materials.
Consult with or provide consultation to other doctors, therapists, or clinicians regarding patient care.
Evaluate effectiveness of counseling or treatments and the correctness and completeness of diagnoses, modifying treatment plans or diagnoses as necessary.
Refer clients to other specialists, institutions, or support services as necessary.
Keep accurate documentation of patient information including intake documents, session notes, progress notes, recommendations, and treatment plans within 24 hours after the service has been completed. Ensure that all necessary documentation (data, HIPAA, consent) has been collected from new clients.
Attend bi-weekly or monthly check-in meetings as determined by management.
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in face-to-face interactions.
Effectively create and carry out treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
Complete timesheet bi-weekly reflecting the billable hours worked.
Maintain client’s charts and keep complete and correct documentation.
Complete discharge summaries as required.
Develop rapport with clients in order to facilitate a healthy professional relationship.
Exercise sound clinical and professional judgment using evidence-based practices.
Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues.
Implement and review treatment plans.
Provide therapy to Individuals and Couples

Required Education & Certicates:
Master’s Degree completed
Current status of Marriage and Family Therapist in Pennsylvania‍

Knowledge & Abilities:
Proven ability to interact with diverse populations and be culturally sensitive.
Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal).Ability to give and receive constructive criticism
Must be computer literate and able to type clinical notes and reports in word processing format.
Must be able to provide Individual and Couples Therapy1 year or more of experience (preferred)Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build rapport with clients

Other Requirements:
Reliable high-speed internet connection (for telehealth sessions)
Private, quiet space (for telehealth client sessions)
Secure, HIPAA compliant filing cabinet for client records
Must have your own computer with webcam (for telehealth sessions)
Must have your own phone (you will be provided a VOIP phone number)

Compensation

Services rendered and collected are split between the mental health provider and Heal Your Roots Wellness.

50% to Independent Contractor

Flexible schedule

As an independent contractor, you get to dictate your schedule and availability, size of caseload, and clients.
